The K-Bombs Visit

A couple weeks ago (on Jason's birthday) Jeremy, Kate and little Madeline K-Bomb came to visit us for a night during their family vacation in Palm Springs. Jeremy's sister Heidi and her sweet daughter came along, as well as Colleen and AJ and we all watched KU basketball. It had been more than 6 years since I had seen the K-Bombs and a couple of years for Jason so it was great to hang out with them. Madeline, their daughter is 15 months old and just plain adorable. She and Casey got along great.

Uncle Bromo's 36th Birthday

This year the family decided to start an annual tradition for Uncle Bromo's birthday. We decided to go to Denny's to celebrate his birthday and also talk about the late, great, Denny's lovin' dad of ours. It was Uncle Bromo's idea so that as Casey grows up he will get to hear stories about the amazing grandfather he was named after. We didn't do too much reminiscing this year since Casey is still a baby but we did marvel at Denny's Bacon-alia dishes. Hopefully Bromo's 36th year of life will be as awesome as Chelsea's bacon pancakes.

Casey's First Duffy

There was no better way to introduce baby Casey to Duffy boating than while celebrating Aunt Jenny's birthday. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and Casey had a blast along with his good friends Summer and Eve. Jason and I brought a couple bottles of red wine to enjoy on the boat but right before we got on the bag fell off the table and one of the bottles broke. Casey didn't mind too much though. We spent two hours on the water with Jeff as our captain. Jenny's fiance Adam brought his daughter Ava so there were four kids on the boat and guess what? Not one kid fussed the entire time. We were all very proud.

The first post...

After seeing a few blogs created by friends I have decided to attempt my very own family blog to keep up to date with friends and family who are far away. Every parent I have talked to says how quickly time flies while your kids are growing up so I am hoping this blog will serve as a digital journal of our life as the Chillhills.

Welcome to Chillin' with the Chillhills!
